Time Megeve Cyclosportive

A prestigious international event and ideal preperation for the Étape du Tour and La Marmotte cyclosportives.

The Time Megeve Mont Blanc is a prestigious French Cyclosportive that attracts 2500 cyclists each year and has three route options with the long course covering 4000 meters of climbing over 145KM. Among the cyclists regularly taking part in the event are Jeannie Longo (multiple world and French elite women's road race Champion) Alain Prost (ex formula 1 world champion) and the professional cycling teams of Bouygues Telecom and Cofidis. The event is becoming increasingly popular with both French and English cyclists as part of their preparation for the Etape du Tour.

The 2010 event will be limited to 3000 riders to maintain the excellent support the race is reputed for, and based on the number of cyclists taking part in last years race, it is expected to be fully subscribed soon after registration opens in January. In return for help promoting this event in the UK GPM10 has secured 10 VIP bibs for our clients to start with the pros in the first group of 300 cyclists!

All the routes start from Megeve and head to Flumet before going up the Col des Aravis (1498m). From the Aravis all the routes head down to Thônes before looping back over the Col de la Croix Fry (1477m covered in the 2004 TDF) and returning over the Aravis and back to Flumet. The 85km route then returns to Megeve, while those who have opted for the 115km route start up the Col Des Saisies (1650m). At the top of the Saisies, the middle distance route returns to Megeve and the the longer 145km route descends to Beaufort, before returning back over the Saisies to the finish in Megeve.

Our Package is inclusive of: 2 nights half board accommodation with the second night at a 3 star hotel 500 meters from the start and finish area in Megeve; airport transfers; local transportation; sports nutrition; race registration with entry fees; mechanical support with assistance for bike assembly and supported recon-training ride on the Saturday. Flights are not inclued.
